Does anyone on the forum shoot with the Nikon FZ50 and adapter with the Nikon AF-S 80-400MM F/4.5-5.6G ED VR. Curious how this lense would perform in comparison to using it on a D7200.

I do not use that exact combo, but I do use the Z6 with the Nikon 200-500 f5.6 and I am happy with the results. There is also the option to look at the new Native 100-400 Z lens if you are going to get a Z50.
