Well I bit the bullet on the 14-30 f4 S today. I had time to take a few shots in the midday sun, which are not the greatest conditions, but I do like the lens. I do see it and the 24-70 jockeying for use on the Z6. It is so much lighter than the 14-24 f2.8 F mount that I was shocked. I look forward to getting out a bit more now that things are opening up around here.

Went out to get some supplies and took the Z6. Had some nice clouds. I do like clouds almost as much as sunrises, but there have not been any good sunrises around home this year so clouds it is... I do like the 14-30 f4 S. I think I will keep it.

Thank you Carolyn. I have come to love it. I actually like it better than my 14-24 f2.8 f mount. It is so much lighter and it will take a threaded filter. I do love this Z6 and the lenses.

I'm trying to decide between this one and the Tamron 15-30 f/2.8 G2

I tell you. I really enjoy mine. I know it is only f4 but that has not proved to be an issue for me. I do landscape and architecture with mine and it has been great. I just love the clarity and the weight reduction over my 14-24 f2.8 Nikon. I am also a native lens fan on the Z6. Right now all that I use the FTZ adapter for is my Tamron 70-200 f2.8 G2 and my 200-500 f5.6 Nikon.

The FTZ works fine with F Mount Glass, but I have just found that the Z Glass is better in my mind.

I wish you well in your decision.
