Shorebird ID?

Taken today in southern Ontario, Canada. Looking for an ID on which species.

I'm not a good bird guy, but nobody is jumping in here. I'd say some kind of sandpiper, but not sure what type of sandpiper. Maybe a semipalmated sandpiper.

Both of the prior mentions fit, main thing we can't tell is size. About 6" then Sandpiper, about 8" Sanderling. I'm thinking the latter.

Markings on the breast would be helpful to see , but with the primaries extending clearly beyond the end of the tail, and no reddish base to the bill , and legs not yellowish, and not particularly bulky.. I would figure it to be Baird's ( adult) ,,a nice bird which I don't have yet.
