There is something truly fascinating about the American alligator or the species of crocodiles. They have changed little in the last 7+ million years and are usually the alpha predators of their habitats. Their primary predators are only larger alligators or crocodiles. When you see an alligator you are truly looking back in time at a living dinosaur. Since I have been in Gainesville, FL I have had many opportunities to photograph these amazing animals.
