Hello folks,
I wanted to share this here since this is where I post most of my pictures. It is going to be a long time until I have anything new to post. Christmas day my camera took a dump. The consensus is the sensor went bad. Time will tell but it does not look good. And being on disability, it will be a long time until I can replace it. I am so depressed. Just wanted to let you folks know as you might wonder what happened to me. I will continue to look at your amazing photos. Keep the posts coming. I enjoy them a lot.

God bless,

Bill

Sorry to hear this bad news Bill. @Friggs. I wish I had a spare camera to loan you, until you save up for a new one. Do you have any lenses that you don't use much that you could sell and maybe pickup another D300? Those cameras are not that expensive any more.

Sorry Bill...........hang in there, you never know what the future holds. Hope you continue to contribute to the forum, even if you are photo-less at the moment:(

I use all of my lenses. And they aren't worth much. Except my 200-500 and I am not selling that. I sold most of what I own to get that.

That's not good news Bill, hopefully you will be able to get things sorted sooner, rather than later.
What about your 70-300 ? Maybe you could trade that for another D300, here in Australia they would be a similar value.

Your photos are great Bill. Sorry to hear about your camera. Hopefully you can get a solution sooner than later.

If you'd be interested in a D90 that you could keep, let me know. Scott probably has a more recent body he could loan you, but this D90 has a very low shutter count (guessing no more than 125 shutter count as this one was a backup body to a D90 I used regularly) and is in pristine condition. I have a number of errands to run today, but I'll check back later.

I was going to send him my D600 to use until he could replace his D300, he has sent me his address but maybe PM him and see if he would like the D90 instead as it would be permanent (very nice of you by the way!).

Yes, I will send him a PM. Came home after running an errand but have to go out yet again. Will look for the D90 when I get back.
