Lucky to have 5 cheetahs on my vehicle at a photo safari last week! I was out numbered 3-1 by Canon shooters but guess which lens the cheetah preferred to kiss?... Nikon of course
I gave one camera body to a second vehicle to record the whole thing and capture some video which is on my site blog. What an amazing experience!

The Cheetah was the only big cat I didn't get to see when I did a Kenyan safari and I was gutted :(

thats weird people normally tell me that about Kruger, this was my 18th safari to kenya, Ive always seen at least one, this trip was only for 7 days and we saw three groups, try a photo tour next time, its worth paying a little extra to go with people in the know. This family is comfortable with me now, Ive spent time with them on the last 3 trips, the first she had 6 cubs, now down to 4.

They are amazing animals, I was lucky enough to walk with Entombie at Tshkudu game reserve, and also see and touch two male cheetahs. Amazing animals.
