Anyone here ever shot in Bosque, NM?

I have heard lots of great things about it being a mecca for nature and scenic photography. Bosque is about a 3 hour drive from Springerville, AZ, which is not bad at all. If all goes well, I will work 4 (12 hr) days on, and 3 off. I could drive over there and hike to a camping spot.

Everything is a go for Springerville, I just have to get a physical, drug screen and background check this week, all of which will come back just fine. I will be leaving either this Friday or Saturday depending on how long it takes to get appointments for all of that stuff. I am still on the fence as to whether I should take the Hasselblad along as well. I will not be able to do any printing but I could at least scan the negatives. I have a large changing bag so I could do all of the processing in room light, no need for a darkroom. It is just that that Nikon LS-8000 scanner of mine is a BEAST, It is about 9" square but about 20" deep and takes up quite a bit of room. I guess it will come down to how I feel as I am packing the Jeep!

STM, I have never been to Bosque, but I know that you will not run out of things to shoot all around Springerville. Who knows you may even get to shoot some "Winter Wonderland" shots before you leave. Ha! Travelling in different directions from Springerville will yield different landscape. Lots of small towns around with opportunities for your photography fun.

As a side note, remember Indian Reservations have their own firearms laws. Apache Reservation is west as well as others north and northeast.
