Post your Bees in Flight photos!

First off, if you have never tried this get ready for absolute frustration! Not seeing many birds today I decided to kill some time shooting some photos of bumblebees/wood boring bees in flight.

While I plan to get this perfect these are not too bad. Some are soft as I think I need even more shutter speed and DOF is very thin at this zoom range and distance.

cant wait for the buggers to come out this year, 600 and its megapixelness ought to get me cleaner results.

Getting good focus, and keeping it, is such a pain in the butt. They seem to be attracted too, or antagonized by, the camera lens. I have a hard time with them flying towards the camera and that makes it even harder to keep focus.

Not truly 'in flight' but beating wing and twisting about fiercely to hold on in the wind -- when you need a drink, you need a drink

Thanks -- those big droney bumblebees are a lot easier to track than honey bees, but those wings sure beat quick.
