Thought i had read bad things about this lens,found the Flickr group for it with some nice images,what are your thoughts on this lens,after looking at some of the images please.

If I was in the market for a lens that range, I would probably go with the 24-120mm. Not much more expensive and a constant F/4 aperture.

A lot more expensive if i go gray,the 24-85 is £285 and £579 for the 24-120,genuine Nikon import is £549 and £749
