Oh, well... Not that I'm challenging the decision not to include my post but... When using a 24-hour clock 00:00 is the start of the new day, 23:59 is the end of the day.

I think you mean to say the cut-off time was 10 January, 23:59UTC.

Paul, it is 0000 UTC time for both the start and stop times. That is why the Date is the same for starting of one week and ending of the previous week. At least that is how it has been since before I ever was drafted into the Challenge Team. It is UTC or GMT time if you prefer. That way everyone starts and stops at the same time. We, the Challenge Team have tried to make it clear in the rules that are posted each week. Don't feel like the lone ranger. I missed a few weeks back by one or two minutes. That's the way it goes.

Walt, I don't know what 0000UTC means ??? I live in Mountain Standard Time. I knew I would be learning new things this year

Well Wendy, 0000 UTC is the same as 0000 GMT, but for you and me who live in mountain standard time, 0000 UTC means 5:00 p.m. the day before the cutoff date posted. IOW 0000 UTC Jan. 11 equals 5:00 p.m. Jan. 10 MST (That will change when you go on Daylight Savings Time)

UTC means Universal Time Coordinated or Universal Coordinated time. It is the time at the international date line. GMT, which is the same as UTC, but means Greenwich Mean Time

Really confused now? Ha! Google it.

If you haven't done so yet, you have about 30 minutes to "like" the photo(s) of your choice. Then the poll will be posted.

Thanks Walt, I'm still confused sort of, but that was a great explanation. I'll just have to get my shots in earlier than I was planning.
