"Walkers" - TedG954's Choice

And now ... for something a little different. :) This week's topic is a creative departure from one of the "suggested" topics that we provide to help stir the thought process. Ted's choice is "Walkers" ... basically anything "walking". The creative twist ... make it monotone. Let's see how creative you can be! No Color, but B&W, sepia, etc...anything goes!

DO NOT SHOOT OR POST IMAGES UNTIL WEDNESDAY FEB 24
This early announcement of the topic is to give a little think time, before the challenge begins. Photos must be taken and submitted between 00:00 UTC of the start date and 00:00 UTC of the end date.

The Rules

1. Photos must be captured with a Nikon and appear in the thread with EXIF info in order to be considered for the challenge. If the forum EXIF viewer does not show for any reason, listing the camera and capture date/time below the photo is acceptable. Listing exposure info, lens & focal length is encouraged so others can learn.

2. Any photo submitted for a weekly challenge must be taken during the dates specified in the challenge thread.

3. Only one photo entry per member for each week, unless otherwise noted.

4. All regularly active members of Nikonites are allowed to participate, including moderators and administrators.

Voting

During the submission & like periods, please click the Thanks/Like button to vote for your favorite images. You can vote for as many as you want! At the end of the week, you will have the opportunity to vote again for the top 3 photos for this challenge!

There will be no cash or prizes awarded for the Weekly Photo Challenges, unless specifically noted by the site administrator.

Any photo will be accepted for the challenge. Edited or straight out of the camera, it does not matter. You are left with complete freedom to do whatever genre of photography you wish to do, and your own interpretation of the challenge subject.

Are you using the "Insert Image" button on the toolbar when you create your post? That's the third icon from the far right. Middle tool bar if you're in the Advanced Editor or the only tool bar you have if you're in the Quick Reply editor window.

I would also love to see that metadata. I'm willing to bet that the shot was not taken this week. At least not in Western NY. LOL:beguiled:

Please see the rules about the time frame for taking and posting shots in the weekly challenge.

To get photos to post with the EXIF data, upload them using the tutorial that @Don Kukendall has posted many times. Here it is for those who need it.

Guidelines to adding a photo to your post.

1. Resize photo to 1000px on the long side.
2. Resolution set to 72ppi (Pixels Per Inch)

These guidelines will be good for viewing on a computer but will not be good for printing. This will help safeguard your copyright.

No problem. Next time just put a 'not an entry" remark next to your shot to avoid confusion. It happens all the time.:encouragement:

I remember when I 1st started on the forum, I had issues with EXIF data not showing, no matter what I did I could not get it to show,
Until I went into setting, general setting, and adjusted this, and that fixed it.

Shortly after I saw this week's theme title, I thought, not of people or creatures walking, but of the sort of walkers that old people use. I figured that I'd probably be the only one to think of that, and also to have access to a significant number of them. I guess @nikonpup showed otherwise, and I have to admit that his idea is more clever than mine, but I think my execution is better.

Well I had the same train of thought as @nikonpup and Bob Blaylock as you will see in my 365. Not wanting to be too much competition for them, I came up with something different and apparently uncommon. Ha!

I had a small amount of time to spend shooting a few shots of a 5K run/walk event that was to benefit families of fallen Border Patrol Agents. These walkers demostrate the variety of people participating: some young, some older, some smaller and some larger, some in wagons, some in strollers and of course the pet joining the ranks.
