"Picture in Picture" - hsiehjon's Choice

Time to get creative! This week's challenge is to include a picture within a picture. This can be full on composition, post processed, or even statically staged. Let's see how creative you can be! Color, B&W, HDR...anything goes!

DO NOT SHOOT OR POST IMAGES UNTIL WEDNESDAY APR 22
This early announcement of the topic is to give a little think time, before the challenge begins. Photos must be taken and submitted between 00:00 UTC of the start date and 00:00 UTC of the end date.

The Rules

1. Photos must be captured with a Nikon and appear in the thread with EXIF info in order to be considered for the challenge. If the forum EXIF viewer does not show for any reason, listing the camera and capture date/time below the photo is acceptable. Listing exposure info, lens & focal length is encouraged so others can learn.

2. Any photo submitted for a weekly challenge must be taken during the dates specified in the challenge thread.

3. Only one photo entry per member for each week, unless otherwise noted.

4. All regularly active members of Nikonites are allowed to participate, including moderators and administrators.

Voting

During the submission & like periods, please click the Thanks/Like button to vote for your favorite images. You can vote for as many as you want! At the end of the week, you will have the opportunity to vote again for the top 3 photos for this challenge!

There will be no cash or prizes awarded for the Weekly Photo Challenges, unless specifically noted by the site administrator.

Any photo will be accepted for the challenge. Edited or straight out of the camera, it does not matter. You are left with complete freedom to do whatever genre of photography you wish to do, and your own interpretation of the challenge subject.

As I have been thinking about this challenge and what to try a question came to mind. Question? If blending two photos for this, do both need to be shot in this week? Or can one be from a previous shot?

I think that you could get away with that if the EXIF says that it was taken within the time period allowed, however I would feel better if I took both shots at the allowed time period.

As always, there's the honor system in play here, but I also think part of the creativity comes down to how an idea is put together. I can think of a couple ideas where the end composition is done in this week's window, but could contain older picture(s) within and still be in the spirit of the challenge.

I have tried to delete this post because the photograph was taken too early to qualify. Unfortunately, I am not able to remove it.

Before and After

My monitor BG is a picture of a bunch of Scuppernong Grapes taken at 7:34 this morning.

The glass of wine in front of the monitor was taken at 8:24 this morning.

The grapes are about five days old and the wine is a lot older!

A picture in a picture.

I had the same idea and when I came to this thread just now I see you have beat me to it.

I was really stuck on this weeks challenge, normally I have a idea what I want, Just came to me yesterday when I was out in the garden,

Great minds think alike :)

When I ask the question at the beginning of this thread I had an idea and needed to use an older picture that I had taken to get what I wanted, but........... as it turned out I took a few other photos that may have worked out better for this challenge (And they were all shot this week. Ha!)
