Weekly Challenge July 30-5: "Stuck Indoors"

This week's photo challenge is "Stuck Indoors". All bets are off, the sky's the limit (figuratively), and the topic can be anything you want it to be ... as long as it is inside your house. Like last week, color, B&W, HDR...anything goes!

The Rules


1. Photos must be posted to the thread in order to be considered for the challenge. No gallery images or off-site links (flickr, 500px, etc) will be accepted

2. Any photo submitted for a weekly challenge must be taken during the dates specified in the challenge thread.

3. Only one photo entry per member for each week, unless otherwise noted.
​

4. All regularly active members of Nikonites are allowed to participate, including moderators and administrators.

5. All submissions need to be posted by TUESDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 5th at MIDNIGHT US EASTERN TIME. The thread will stay open for an additional 24 hours for "likes" to be posted, followed by the voting thread for finalist.​

During this round, please click the Like this post button to vote for your favorite images. You can vote for as many as you want! At the end of the week, you will have the opportunity to vote again for the top 3 photos for this challenge!


There will be no cash or prizes awarded for the Weekly Photo Challenges, unless specifically noted by the site administrator.
Any photo will be accepted for the challenge. Edited or straight out of the camera, it does not matter. You are left with complete freedom to do whatever genre of photography you wish to do, and your own interpretation of the challenge subject.

Thanks for the clarifying question BH! The intent is strictly inside the home ... so if you live inside an apartment instead of a house, that's the same. Inside the mall down the street, however, is outside (no pun intended) of the project.

I updated the OP with a change to the submission schedule based on last week's challenge...

All submissions need to be made to this thread before Tuesday night, August 5th at Midnight Eastern US Time. The thread will stay open for 24 hours on Wednesday August 6th for "likes" to count, and then the polling thread for the 3 finalists will open Thursday morning and run for three days. This change is being made to the challenge to ensure that all photos submitted have some time for review before the finalist poll starts.

The best benefit for submissions is to get them in early so they can get the maximum number of views and likes possible, so don't be like me and wait until after the cut-off to find the perfect image to post! :D

First time for everything. Just got my camera yesterday, so keep in mind I am new to both DSLR and Lightroom which I used on my raw file here. This was taken in Manual Mode.

Allie, stuck indoors, contemplating the world outside, just beyond the window.

Taken using my ancient (late 1960s or early 1970s vintage) 50mm ƒ1.4 non-AI Nikkor, wide-open, with a heart-shaped cutout in front of it to shape the bokeh. 1/125 of a second, ISO 100.
