Weekly Challenge Mar. 23 - Mar. 30

Sorry for the delay in getting this one posted, folks. As such, this contest will only run for 6 days instead of the usual 7. I made several attempts to contact the winner of the "Contrast" challenge, but to no avail. When this happens, I will make a challenge selection and judge the entries myself.

This week's challenge is geared towards our furry friends. Pictured above is Tango, my mother's photogenic Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. This photo was taken for last year's Christmas cards!

Even if you are not owned by a family pet, I'm sure you have a friend or relative who is, and wouldn't mind you taking some photos. Your shots don't have to be typical "portrait" style either, you can do action shots or whatever strikes your fancy.

Be sure to visit the Weekly Challenge Rules & Guidelines for more information. This thread will be closed on Mar. 30th...so get those photos in!

The Rules

  1. Photos must be posted to the thread in order to be considered for the challenge.
  2. Any photo submitted for a weekly challenge must be taken during the dates specified in the challenge thread and taken by you! Because not all EXIF data can be verified, we will use the honor system here.
  3. Challenges will be judged solely by the winner of the previous week. There will be no individual voting.
  4. Only one photo entry per member, for each challenge.

There will be no cash or prizes awarded for the Weekly Challenge, unless specifically noted by the site administrator. This is a member-run contest, and the purpose of the Weekly Challenge is to encourage member participation on the forums and to keep you taking pictures!

Any photo will be accepted for the challenge. Edited/straight out of the camera, it does not matter. You are left with complete freedom to do whatever genre of photography you wish to do, and your own interpretation of the challenge subject.

Cats crack me up. You just know she's laying there thinking, "What is this idiot up to now? I have to take a nap."

Tabby Cat.JPG

This is Tabby Cat, my "other" best buddy. He is rocking the calendar at over 14 years old.

He is doing his 3rd favorite thing.
1st... Eating
2nd... Sleeping
3rd... Waking up
4th... Start Over

Pete

BTW This is, in all probability, the last picture I take with my trusty D70. Next week I will be taking delivery of my new D3100.
You may now go back to your regularly scheduled lives.

And congrats on getting your D3100. By all accounts a pretty good camera, Pete. Hope you enjoy it as much as your old D70.
