Liquid

Weekly Challenge Feb. 8-16

This week's photo challenge is liquid. I want to see how inventive you can be! You may use whatever kind of liquid that inspires you...just be creative, use your imagination, any liquid goes. Good luck!

Moderator edit: "Any liquid" within reason. This is not a license to post images that are in bad taste, such as your dog watering the bushes. Sorry, had to say it. Half of you reading this were already thinking it.
:p
And no pictures of "yellow snow"! ;)

Be sure to visit the Weekly Challenge Rules & Guidelines for more information. This thread will be closed on Feb. 16th...so get those photos in!

The Rules

  1. Photos must be posted to the thread in order to be considered for the challenge.
  2. Any photo submitted for a weekly challenge must be taken during the dates specified in the challenge thread and taken by you! Because not all EXIF data can be verified, we will use the honor system here.
  3. Challenges will be judged solely by the winner of the previous week. There will be no individual voting.
  4. Only one photo entry per member, for each challenge.

There will be no cash or prizes awarded for the Weekly Challenge, unless specifically noted by the site administrator. This is a member-run contest, and the purpose of the Weekly Challenge is to encourage member participation on the forums and to keep you taking pictures!

Any photo will be accepted for the challenge. Edited/straight out of the camera, it does not matter. You are left with complete freedom to do whatever genre of photography you wish to do, and your own interpretation of the challenge subject.

Post away, gang. This one is open for business.

Challenges will continue to "officially" begin and end on Wednesdays, but as long as the thread is unlocked, feel free to make a submission.

Ah, now that's a bugger. I did loads of liquid shots last week.... can't I use one of them .... pleeeeease. It's either that or I need to change my dining room into a wet-room again :)

Photos taken outside the date range of the Weekly Challenge are not permitted. Looks like you'll be getting wet again!

On the bright side, it gives you another opportunity to take some cool water shots.

Thought I would throw this one in. I had a little fun in Paintshop Pro X3.

You're all in big, BIG trouble. I have a shoot lined up that is so spectacular, so amazing, you might as well just hand over that blue ribbon to me now.

trash talk

: disparaging, taunting, or boastful comments especially between opponents trying to intimidate each other

I hope that everyone understands that I am old. Seeing all of these liquids makes me want to go.

So I present the NUMBER ONE reason that we old guys have to go.HomeBrew.JPG

Good Ole' Home Brew!

Enjoy.

Marcel, great shot. I was trying to do the same thing but the spillway I have to work with has a very low angle slope to it, and I could not get that falling water effect you got. I did walk away with something, but I'm holding off posting in case something else comes up. I also want to see what Mr. "Trash Talk" (LOL) has to offer this week. I have learned quickly he is a man of his word, and it looks like he's back in the game.

Let's see, Beer & Wine. You guys got to quit teasing me. I'm supposed to AVOID alcohol for health reasons. Great shots everyone.

Oh gawd! lol I moved away from there back in 1963 when I joined the navy. :) I've been back there once, in 1984, when my father passed away. Haven't been back since. I'm sure the area has changed dramatically since then. :) I actually lived on the highway in Ville de Carignan, next to what is now the Marche au Puce (Flea Market). When I lived there, nothing was around the whole area........nothing but farmer's fields.
