A couple from a fortnight ago.

These aren't necessarily the finished edits, but here are a few from a wedding 2 weeks ago. Ceremony was in a room with no windows and pretty terrible lighting - I don't like using flash for ceremonies but had to resort to it for a couple of images.

Bling!

Well I don't like the three footballers on the right ,the hands on the grooms shoulders and the bridesmaid not looking at you .... One bridesmaid has lost her flowers..there hands are all over the place ....oh and the groom is on the wrong side of the bride and would have been better standing, Grooms hand on the table looks strange ,,,, The bridesmaids should have been reversed as you never have a dip in the centre of the picture.

With the pillar shot the groom is on the wrong side and his shirt cuff has slipped on his right sleeve....
Just in my humble opinion.

Noted but mainly ignored.

The after signing pic is just a simple snap taken whilst everyone is standing there - was never meant to be an award winning image. I posted it mainly to show how crappily lit the room was. The bridesmaid hasn't lost her flowers, they are on the table along with the brides - she was the witness so she put them down to sign. The Mums are there and yes she is giving her son a squeeze- she was pretty proud of him.... There is no right side or wrong side for either the bride or the groom here.

The groom is on the wrong side?? Again what world do you live in where they have sides? The key light was coming over his shoulder and lighting the brides face - perhaps where you are from the groom is the center of attention but here in Australia it is all about the bride - putting her face in partial shadow is just something that you would never ever ever do.

I didn't realize how many things are wrong with these images until you pointed them out. Thanks for being ever so observant.images (1).jpg

I just wonder how he gets more work than he can handle year around with shots like these! download.jpg

Well I take every picture like its part of an MPA/BIPP/RPS submission ..but I am talking back in the day when there were standards to be met..you did not do wedding photography unless you were qualified because you could not get insurance .Today its just take whats put in front of you in many cases. In my world the bride is always on the grooms left arm.I think perhaps in the UK things are a bit more traditional while in the US George 3rd has mixed it up a bit (lot) Most of Kevs pictures are brilliant but in this case looks like a group of blockies ( Australian term )

Lets see some of yours then... :) I would love to see how I should be doing it.

I don't know what Blockies are and I am an aussie - I can tell you these guys all live in a place called Tom Price. Google it - it is in the arse end of nowhere and they are all Iron Ore miners.... so I reckon I have captured them perfectly. :)

Lived in Noosa for 10 years ...Blockies are people who own a block of land in the outback and don't throw anything away..cars trucks machinery etc they just dump it on the block making a mess ....

So indeed you have captured them perfectly. The way you should be doing it is to keep the bank account full.

You will get no images as I prefer the opinion of MPA panel judges who understand the style of the country in which the images were taken.. Whats good in the UK may not be acceptable in AU or USA. If the bank account is full then the photography is good.

Wonder if this guy uses tennis balls too :D

I guarantee he says he does Kevin....

He has also given himself away as the douche who was banned from here - unless there is a remarkable coincidence... the knob-end that was banned from here before was another UK tog who never actually showed any work and also lived in Noosa for 10 years... remarkable coincidence? Me thinks not.

I understand what sausage fingers is talking about and you are a bit of a douche. and youre nitpicking. we cant always get perfect images when you shoot unstaged or even "guided" shots. great work Kevin.
