amazon also has great prices. their cowboy studio stuff seems to be the same price as the cowboystudio.com site, but they also have used stuff.

I bought my equipment on Ebay When I tried to set it up the clips to hold the cross bar were broken. No satisfaction from the people I bought it from.I'm just saying make sure if you buy on line, that you ask the seller to make sure everything is there and nothing is broken.Ebay did cover everything for me.That was good but all the hassles were not.
Good Luck

You can do what I did, too, and save yourself a pile of cash in the process. :) Make your own! I started by buying some really cheap light stands ($10 for 2) and I use one as the support for my back drop cloth. I made a bracket that slips over the top of the stand, attached (riveted) a 40" piece of angle aluminum (aluminium) to it, and hang the back drop from it using small spring loaded clamps. The back drop is made from two single bed sheets....one neutral gray and the other pure black. Sew the two together back to back, and you have a reversible back drop for portraits or whatever.

Here's a couple of pictures of what I made. Works great for me.

Necessity (and a serious lack of funds) is the mother of invention! :) LOL
