Tentative feeler.

In good condition for a good price

Shipping address will be in USA for onward forwarding to New Zealand so will need to be well wrapped.
@Blacktop sold one earlier this year and I mussed it.

I have one and it is one great lens. I don't believe I would trade it even for a straight trade for a brand new Nikon 70-200 F2.8. Hope you find a good one.

That's great news and the best part about that is you have a D7200.
I read a Ken Rockwell review and he said not to bother with a DX lens but I suspect that may apply more to entry level models that don't have a built in focus motor.

Hey Lawrence, from what I have gathered from the reviews I have read, your 50-150 will have better IQ , the only thing you'll gain is the extra reach to 200mm. I know how good your 50-150 is, because I have the same lens.

I didn't notice you already have the the Sigma 50-150mm. This is an excellence lens and I see little value to getting a 80-200mm. If you want more reach I see only a few options open to you. The Nikon 70-300mm, the Nikon 200-500, or the Sigma or Tamron 150-600mm are your best options for zoom, or the expensive Nikon Prime super telephotos.

I have one that I might be tempted to part with as the wife finds it too heavy on her D7200 but I'm not sure what it would be worth. It's in mint condition. Shipping to the US would not be a problem.

Brad - my Sigma is currently my best lens and I couldn't argue you with you except to say I think the 80-200 is sharper and produces even better bokeh.
A few other things make me want to switch:
One clearly is the reach
Two the 80-200 is a full frame lens (should I ever go that way)
I can get my money back on the Sigma and put about $500 dollars in my pocket or put towards some other gear.

Brent the dollars is an issue.
I had the 70-300 and was not that impressed with it because the aperture at the long end was too narrow.
The other lenses you mention are not an option at this stage due to finances.
I do appreciate the input though. I always like hearing what people have actually experienced.

Fair enough Lawrence, good enough reasons to change over.
I am not sure the 80-200 would have better IQ though.
I must admit, I almost went with a 80-200, but the Sigma came up for sale at the right time, like new for the same price as a good 80-200.
