Hello Fellow Nikonites,

I currently am the owner of 3 Nikons (D40, D70s & D7000) My favorite of course is the D7000 I am shooting video with the D7000 with the Dx AF-S 18-70mm. The problem I am having with this lens is the auto focus. I am not sure if it the way I am using the camera but I find my self constantly having to press the shutter release button to adjust focus. Any tips on shooting video or lens suggestions?

I don't shoot much video with mine. I may have shot 2-3 minutes so far. May shoot more at Christmas. This being said, Im not very familiar with the video shooting.

After reading your question, I went to the Digitutor for the D7000, and checked it out.........again. :) Nikon | Imaging Products | Digitutor | D7000 Watch the video clip under the "Focus" area. Are you using the Dynamic-Area AF when recording? The Digitutor makes it sound like you should be, if you're not. Double check all the Digitutor info on recording movies, to make sure everything is set right.
Good luck! Sorry I'm not more help with this.
