Camera Stabilization for video

Has anyone used any of the Camera Stabilization rigs for shooting video on the move? There are some that are under $100 that look interesting. that is something I could afford over the really nice ones that are over $1,000. Any users?

yes, the steadicams (with weights) do work well, just need to balance properly and walk softer than usual and footage will be very usable (no jitters)
