    DIFFERENT Frame Sizes/Frame Rates

I went to the Nikon web site and watched the "Video Tutorial Series: Getting Started with your Nikon D3300 DSLR"

I watched the "Setting Up For And Shooting Video" and I found something that seems very strange.

In the Nikon video, the "Frame Size/Frame Rate" lists them as:

    1920 X 1080 60p
    1920 x 1080 30p
    1920 x 1080 24p
    1280 x 720 60p
    640 x 424 30p

Yet when I go to my camera, they are listed as:

    1920 X 1080 50p
    1920 x 1080 25p
    1920 x 1080 24p
    1280 x 720 50p
    640 x 424 25p

I bought the camera in Singapore. Did I get a knock-off Nikon? Or do they have different standards for the Asian market?

What in the world is going on?

    Thank you,

Guessing it has something to do with the video being recorded in NTSC vs. PAL formats. I don't shoot video so have no idea where that would be set, but I suspect your manual will tell you.

In the D3300 Setup Menu, change Video Mode from PAL to NTSC, to see the 30 frames per second choices.

You can change your video type in Setup. How to do it is in the manual, probably in the front part of the manual.

Thanks for the "Why" and "How" to fix it.
