That is the first time I remember seeing one of these disassembly reports. My head hurts a bit, but I got through most of it.

Apparently they think the Z mount S lens are very well made and it caused them to scratch their collective heads a bit. I liked their findings except the part about repair cost for the filter threads and lens hood mounts. That sounded like it could be expensive.

It was pretty cool to see all the effort that went in to the making of the lens. It is much more easy to understand the challenge of auto focus when you see the inner workings of the lens and what it takes to accomplish it.
