200-500 vs newer 80-400

Having never owned these lenses i can only add the conclusion i came to after researching the same question a while ago,the 200-500 is a far better option and works better with the 1.4 than the 80-400.It will be interesting to see if this has changed, if like me you will be thinking the 80-400 should be the best bet.

I need a wider field of view at times than 150mm so the 80mm sounds nice. I also read that the focusing on the 80-400 is very quick and the rotation from 80-400 is only about a quarter turn. Many reviews from 2013 said very sharp throughout the range. It sounds like just what I'm looking for but not many current reviews or comparisons...
