Tammy 200-500mm tele

Any thoughts on Tamron's 200mm-500mm tele. I have a chance to get one real cheap.

Sounds great i know but it is very old tech and i have never heard any one speak highly about it.

Does it have any type of vibration reduction? If not, using a long lens like this hand held may not produce spectacular results. If you plan on using a monopod or tripod, then any lack of VR wouldn't be an issue. Just something to keep in mind. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I have heard that they make a great door stop.
