I been using a D7100 for a while (very happy with it) with a Tamron 150-600. I've been lucky enough to now acquire a D800. I may be asking a daft question but is the lens likely to be better on one camera over the other? As I see it the Tamron is not designated specifically as a DX lens so, on the D7100, you get the "extra zoom" effect due to the crop sensor but at 24Mp. On the D800 the lens would be at the stated focal length but now resolving at 35Mp. Do the two factors cancel each other out or is there something else thai've missed? I intend to keep both cameras as I happen to think they both advantages in certain situations. Thank you!
