I looked but could not find any thread like this, so I'm creating one.

Any make (Nikon,Sigma Tamron etc) any model (VRI-II -FL, G2, G1 and so on). As long as it's a 70-200, go crazy!

Users of the older Nikkor 80-200mm lenses are also welcome to post.

They say great minds think alike... I was contemplating creating a 70-200mm Appreciation Thread myself a few days ago and then forgot about it...

So how ARE you liking your new Nikon 70-200mm, by the way?

I really really like it on my D500. I have not shot much with it on the D750 but from what I can tell there is not much of a difference in sharpness. I don't know what all the hoopla is about this lens sucking on a full frame body. Who the hell looks at corner sharpness at f/2.8 unless you're shooting a brick wall...sheeeshhh!

This is a Vivitar 85-205mm ƒ/3.8 “Tele-Zoom” lens, made some time in the late 1960s or early 1970s.

I bought it in late 1986, along with a 1972-vintage F2 Photomic and two other lenses.

Stopped-down to smaller apertures, it produces nice, sharp images, but at wider apertures, it has some rather interesting aberrations, that I think tend to give images taken therewith a “dreamy” quality.

The more I shoot with this lens the more I'm liking it. It's almost as sharp as my 70-300mm was. (That was one sharp assed lens. Too bad it only opened up to f5.6 at the long end.)
