Can anybody tell me whether or not the VR function will work on my Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR lens if used with a Tamron SP AF 1/4x teleconverter?

Michael, thanks for your reply but I tried both links and neither one answers my question. Will the VR on my 70 - 200mm f/2.8 lens still work with this teleconverter attached?

Comments about Tamron 1.4x SP Pro Teleconverter for Nikon AF:
I use this lens with my Nikon D300 and have used it with the following Nikon lenses with exceptional results, even wide open: 24/3.5 shift (provided lens is centered), 50/1.4 AF, 60/2.8 micro AF, 18-200/3.5-5.6 VR(at the longer focal lengths, naturally), 85/1.8AF, 105/2.8 VR micro, 80-400/4.5-5.6. Even better results with lenses stopped down slightly (1/2-1 stop). Full transfer of functions - AF,VR, etc., even with lenses having max. aperture of 5.6 (f8 with converter) - at least with the D300; does not however transfer corrected f. stop or focal length (e.g., with 80-400 at 400mm. and f5.6 will still transfer data as 400/5.6 rather than 560/8) - metering however still accurate. Cannot reccomend highly enough.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Michael.
