I'm looking at getting the Lens in the link and I'm not sure about the mounting of different Lens and I'm still learning about that stuff I have a Nikon D5200 and I want to know if this Lens will work with my Camera.
Also does this Lens have an Auto Focus and VR like my Nikon 18-55 Lens that came with my Camera, also what are the Tamron Lens like in general are they pretty well made I have not had any hands on with them so some feedback would be nice.

Wade, this lens should work fine with your D5200. @wev is using it with the next model up camera (D5300) and does great with it. It does have autofocus, and VC on this lens is referring to the same as Nikon calls VR (Vibration Reduction), so to answer your question, yes it does have VR. I don't own one and haven't ever seen one, but if I had the pocket change, the sale prices I'm seeing would be very tempting for sure. It is kind of heavy, I think, but manageable. I think @Marilynne has one and she lugs it around on her bike (I am assuming this. Ha!) Hope this helps and maybe some others who own the lens will chime in soon.

I have been shooting this lens for about a year now, both on a 5200 and a 5300 body. Almost no issues at all, except my own shortcomings. Mine did develop a problem with a bad aperture mechanism, but Tam fixed it without question and had it back to me in 5 days. I shoot mostly birds and usually in less than idea conditions -- I am constantly surprised at what I am still able to capture. Is it the best glass you could hope for? Certainly not, but it is an extremely good lens for the price, backed up by a company that cares.

Walt is correct, I use it on my D7100, shoot it handheld for wildlife and lug it around on my bicycle. I use a shoulder strap to help with the weight. It gets really heavy after a while when doing birds in flight. It does lock up occasionally, but I know it will happen when it can't lock focus on something. When it starts doing that, I just shut the camera off, then back on. The newer ones may not have that problem.
