Tamron 2x AF teleconverter

Does anyone know if this is safe to use on a Nikon 70-200 2.8 vr1? It worked on the 70-300 vr but don't want to risk it on expensive glass if there's potential for trouble.

Thanks

Hi,

it's a common knowledge, you can use (all) extenders with the 700-200 f2.8.
Certainly if it's already working with your 70-300 lens...
The glass of the Tamron 2x extender is sitting quite deep, so it won't touch the rear glas of the lens.
A Nikon extender looks quite different and also fits the 700-200 f2.8 lens.

Thanks, I guess I'll try it out. I remember reading something about the Tamron messing up the electronics of a lens but I'm unsure which tc it was or which lens. I wasn't concerned about the 70-300 since that is less then half the cost of the 70-200.
