Hi all. After weighing up this vs the 300 2.8 prime I've decided to go with the cheaper option.Judging from some of the reviews and images I've seen I should not be disappointed.Wont be here til April though i can't wait;)

I'll bet there have been a million Tamrons sold awaiting availability of the Sigma, Congrats looks to be some nice glass.
No doubt!!!!See the amount of replies in the "post your Tamron 150-60 shots" section....sigma have lost out.But the difference in cost is not much here in Ireland at least. So from what I've seen the Siggy is a bit sharper at 600....for me its a no brainer especially coming into the good light season:D.
Turns out the shop will have it in 2-3 working days.....the pressures on cash wise now.....eeek

Wow, that's quick, looking forward to some pics, it is almost double here in the states.

Really!!!I'm shocked!!!Must be the only time in history that you guys have paid (possibly) more for something....praise the lord:rolleyes:

Most of the advertised prices i've seen are $1069 USD for the Tamron and $1999 USD for the Sigma "S" model, I've read the Sigma "C" is about the same as the Tamron.
