Sigma or Nikon zoom lens Advice Please?

Sigma 70-300 f/4 5.6 SLD DG

or

Nikon 70-300 f 4 5.6G AF

Any preferences between these two? They are close in price.

Shooting with a Nikon D7100..mostly street photography, candid family and friends.
I currently have a "borrowed" friends Nikon 70-300 1:4 5 5:6G ED VR lens and I really am enjoying it. He's going to want it back soon, so I need my own.T

Take the Tamron 70-300 into consideration as well. it has an amazing VC unit inside.

If the price is close, I'd go with the OEM Nikon glass myself.

According to DXOMark they are comparable in terms of quality. Sigma is slightly smaller and lighter and cheaper. But Nikkor is a Nikon. Tough choice, perhaps some owners of these lenses can help.

I would suggest holding out for the Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 DG OS SLD over the non-OS (Optically Stabilized) version. Sigma's OS is a thing of beauty and worth paying for in a lens with this much reach in my opinion.
