With your D800, do you always shoot in the LARGE file format?

Although..., you could use Dx mode when/if you want a smaller file size or for "snapshots". Now I gotta try this on my D600, I was going to jpeg for snapshots, but I could use dx mode for a smaller RAW file.

Wait a minute...you're not considering shooting JPEGs with your D800, are you?

Only time I ever shoot RAW is in the second slot for weddings.
Even then, 99% or more of the time I use the Quality Priority, Large, Fine JPEGs.

At Large Events, I shoot thousands of Medium size JPEGs to greatly help my workflow.

For Landscapes I shoot Large, Fine JPEGs.

I never shoot DX, but will often crop a photo.

According to what I see in the manual and these forums,
I must have a defective D800.
It allows me to use a frame rate at 5 in any JPEG setting.

I only got mine two days ago, however I plan to use 1.2 or 1.5 crop mode when I need the higher fps. Otherwise I tend to shoot raw.
