quality for the dollar

I was taking a close look at the 300 mm F4 ED I bought used and received yesterday, The purchase price was 375 dollars!

The lens is clean, shiny, and well, a tank. focused quickly, tack sharp.

I have to thank another Nikonite to raising my attention on this lens,


Yes, some risks exists buying used, but the pleasure of getting a pro lens for under 400 dollars, less then most plastic, glued G lens of today.

don't get me wrong, I like new lens too, but keep these older gems in mind when you are thinking of adding to your collection.

AH yes a beautiful lens for that price...Mine cost $750 Aus about 8 to 10 years back...Is the drop in filter with it..

yes, there is a drop in filter, but just the clear glass, must have originally came with a set for BW photos. That is a funky feature, reminds of some my older lens that have the rear element clip in filters.

Mine came with the clear lens filter and also an empty holder....
