24-120mm f/4

Picked up a LN used 24-120mm f/4 for my D700. Should be here Monday!!!!
I want a good lens for a walk around/vacation lens for my D700.
Samples to follow!

yes, a practical lens, when I sold my backup D700, it was with the lens as extra candy, and the buyer was pleased.

Another lens to consider is the 18-105, actually a bit sharper then the 24-120, and used a bit less or equal.

My wife has the 18-105 on her D40. I think it's a DX lens.

Straight out of the camera and it’s sharp even though it
has everything going against it. Hand held, high ISO, slow shutter. I
think this shows the D700/24-120mm f/4 make a good match.

That's great for a hand held shot at such a slow shutter speed. You clearly have very good technique and/or not a coffee drinker! :eek:
