Yet another reason why I love my D800

I attended my granddaughters Christmas play last night and for the life of me, I couldn't find her in the crowd of kids. So with my 85mm f/1.8G I pointed it at the stage knowing I'd eventually find her later. Sure enough, there she is. And although I wouldn't be printing this image, there's more than enough pixels left to get a decent print. In addition to being able to crop the living crap out of a photo and still have plenty of pixels left, the D800 has excellent low-light capabilities. Surprisingly, at ISO-1800 and 1/80th sec, they came out pretty darn sharp for a hand-held photos.

Nice:) I got my daughters christmas play coming up next week. Though, if last year is any indication, the lighting will be next to nil.

I still have an upcoming Nutcracker, I feel better knowing I can run the ISO up and still get decent shots, can't sell poor pics. I am thinking the 70-200mm will get a work out.
