Nauticam announced today the arrival of their much-anticipated NA-D600Aluminum Housing for Nikon's latest full-frame DSLR. Nikon's D600 is comparatively easy on the wallet and is extremely attractive to underwater photographers because of it's FX (full frame) 24 megapixel sensor, its higher ISO capabilities, 100% coverage viewfinder, and the ability to use all the DX (cropped sensor) lenses in DX-Mode such as the popular Tokina 10-17mm Fisheye.
The Nauticam NA-D600 sports several hallmark features that have made Nauticam an industry-leading housing manufacturer. The housing will feature the great ergonomics, easy loading/unloading, and their unique Locking Port Release System that users have come to expect.
Like the recently released NA-D800 housing for the Nikon D800, the NA-D600 has the dual paddle assemblies that put the Video Record, AE/AF-L, Playback, and ISO within thumbs reach. Of important note to video shooters is the easy access to the Live View button and Live View Selector. Nauticam is especially proud of their ability to access the Release Mode control allowing the shooter to lock in the D600's "quiet" shooting mode when dealing with skittish subjects.
