What would HDR video look like?

If you look at the CSI Miami, you can get an idea. These new series are heavily post processed. With digital post processing, they now can apply the same look (HDR) than we can from a single exposure.

But sometimes, it can get too much (for my taste anyway).

I work in TV. Almost all the new cameras are HD. Which is High Definition VS the old cameras which were SD. The look of the latest cameras are so sharp and the color is so crystal clear the they almost look like HDR. We have just install $15,000,000 in new equipment and studio and the 17 new robotic cameras we have are unbelievable. Extremely small and not all that expensive.

It would look a lot like this:

An interesting little film, but in some ways I think the "HDR effect" becomes distracting. It almost becomes special effects for special effects sake. You see this quite a bit in some of the latest movies. Every discipline has its "flavor of the month" and I think HDR is it right now for photography.
