My D70 is in surgery today. If there are any DC positive donors out there, your donation would be greatly appreciated.

My D70 lived, but it appears that it was touch and go for awhile.
There were several transplants. Replaced... Main PCB, Power PCB, DC/DC Convertor.
Several Adjustments...AutoFocus Operation, Exposure, Clean CCD and a general check and clean.
It may have been cheaper to replace my baby, but this way I know what I have.

She is now ready to help me bore the HE** out of everyone!

You may now resume your daily activities.

Gee, with everything that had to be replaced, what had happened to the poor thing? And more importantly, with all that new technology, is it faster and stronger? Does it make a cool "Chhh chh chh chh" sound when it jumps and lifts things?

Oh wait, I might be thinking of a different situation. ;) But it's still good that you've got your old friend back.

I am beginning to think that the REAL problem was that it was a Transformer that committed suicide. All Nikon did was to replace the Transformer guts with the proper guts.

Of course, I can't prove any of this, but I still have my suspicions.
