I take ameture hockey pictures as a hobby. Although I know that no two rinks are ever the same the lighting is aweful and also never the same. Our home games are nice because I am not stuck behind very nicked up plexi. But I would love any tips for getting clear not blown out or blurry pictures I have played with every setting from standard sport mode with auto ISO to appeture priority. I use the nikon d5100 with the Tamron 70-200 2.8 dynamic area continuous of course auto serve AF I have heard that shooting in jpeg is better for sport especially since I average 500 shots per game. I do have a website if you would like to look at any of my pictures and would take any and all critic the last two game I was fortunate to be at a rink where I could get right up next to the ice with no obstructions although I had to stand on a chair and nearly got crack with a puck a couple of times being that close was def optimal.

This is some of the latest
