LED ring light

I posted awhile back that I bought an LED ring light (not flash) although the light stays on it does work well for some occassions...

All handheld, no flash only the ring light.

What kind did you get? I've been eyeballing a cheapy one on Ebay to try out.

The issue I find is that it lights up all the time, and its not like a flash. So the light is usable close up.

Also even my dogs blink if I get too close so would recommend it for only macro shots with creatures that do not require to blink (much).

As you can see all above pics are taken with my nikon D800 manual setting with a Tamron 90mm macro.

PS if you need photos to compare I can show you what I got. I have numerous fittings for more lenses than i have lol.
