Nikon D300s and 50mm 1.4 AF-S Grinding Noise

I have a Nikon D300s and several lenses. When I put my 50mm 1.4 AF-S on the camera body the lens makes a grinding noise as I rotate the lens into place. This is the only lens that causes the sound. The other two lenses I use smoothly rotate into place. I have checked the lens over cleaned it thoroughly and it still makes the noise. Any thoughts? Anyone else have the same experience?

There is a ring on the lens and one on the body of the camera. They should both be screwed down securely.

Having said that, I used to have a 50mm 1.8 lens that did the same thing. Sometimes, during manufacturing, the tolerances aren't always perfect. If you have any dielectric grease, you can rub some on the lens ring....sparingly!.....to eliminate that grinding noise.

I have the exact same issue as i rotate my 50 mm 1.8 D in place....checked everything and all is screwed on....just a tight fit i suppose! it is not making any damage to either connectors so I live with it.........
