Transferring pictures

Hey im having some problem transferring pics from d90 to my laptop. both mac and windows dont recognize the camera. i have viewnx installed and updated. could someone plz help. maybe i need to change a setting or something?

Senior Member
are you trying with a direct corded connect? I pull the SD card out and place it directly into the card reader on my computer.

With Mac, open iPhoto and you will then see the camera. It happened to me three weeks ago when I forgot my card reader at home.

i tried with the card reader.. that works great!!
the camera doesnt show up in my iphoto either for some reason tho..

Was the camera turned on after opening iPhoto or before? Was it turned on?
