Sigma 28-70 2.8-4... Good lens?

I found a guy on Craigslist selling this lens for $210.00 I was curious if it is comparable to a 24-70.. Seems kinda cheap, so I'm not sure if I wanna get it or not. Anyone know anything about this lens?

Do you mean Nikons 24-70mm F2.8...If yes this Nikon is F2.8 through the length, where as the Sigma is F2.8 at the short end a F4 at the long end...I think it would be a reasonable lens...

If you are thinking of getting it, is it compatible with your camera...Some lens wont auto focus on Nikons D3000/D5000 series cameras

That is an older model, Sigma actual lens is the 28-70 HSM f/2.8 , which is very good on DX but soft on corners on FX.
