Can you remote timer with 0 seconds?

This sounds so silly. I haven't touched my D7k in a few weeks and i think I just got rusty! I want to shoot with my remote with no timer delay. I have it set on 5 seconds (apparently), but can't figure out how to just set the camera to focus and take a picture as soon as I hit the remote shutter release's button. I don't want any delay in other words. I left my manual somewhere and only have sporadic internet in the mountains so this post might not go through. Thanks!

You can also set your camera to release the shutter upon the shutter button being pressed instead of the standard focus activated shutter release.
