Hi Tami, I also don't know the name of this insect. He is tiny, about 12 mm that's all. 1st time I come across this.

I think it may be an Elephant Weevil (Orthorhinus cylindrirostris) ....

It is a very simple & cheap set up. I am using a D300, AFS 50mm f1.8, Raynox DCR 250, external flash gun, flash bender and tripod.
