Extension Tubes for D3100

Can someone that has experience in using tubes please recommend what type to buy as I have looked on the internet and there are so many manufacturers that I want to make sure I buy good ones, as I have read some reviews on certain sites and people have put things like "my camera would'nt take pictures as it said there was no lenses attached" and to be honest the tubes were £6.99???? so can somebody advise me please

Have you used them

I have Phottix extension tubes that works on Nikon AF. Works well on my D90 and fits firmly on my lenses.

Make sure you buy the bayonet type, and avoid the threaded ones. I've had both and the threaded ones are a pain if you want to change the lengths around, and are not in the same league quality wise.

Chipped tubes are a lot more coin than non chipped
