lens hood for p series?

Just joined. Switching from digital slr to Coolpix p510. Any way to rig up some sort of lens shade for it? Always had one with slr. Thanks in advance.

This is going to sound silly but its quite easy to make a lens hood.

Cut a paper coffee cup to fit the outside diameter of the lens housing with the lens retracted. This will take a fairly tall cup.

When you have a fairly tight fit of the cup on the housing, just wrap the cup with black duct tape on the outside.

Don't forget to fold the duct tape under the bottom cut so that it will stay tight. This lens shade will be practically weatherproof and very cost effective.

Interesting idea, but what I'm thinking with the enormous zoom range, I need seversl sizes of cups.
