Hi everyone, new member here. 
About 4 or 5 months ago, I upgraded from my D60 to the D5100. Only recently, though, have I began seeing a problem in my photos. And I am pretty sure it is when my pop-up flash goes off outdoors (when the sun is out). I took pictures of a wedding and yesterday of a couple and several of their photos had this purple halo around them. And it seemed like they were only in the ones that I took in the shade when my flash popped up. I have been doing photography for a few years but have never learned any of the technical aspects of it (what apeture settings really mean, etc).
As I said though, I was not having this problem with the "halo" until recently. I'm not sure if it's "operator error" or if something suddenly went wrong with my camera. :S
