I went in and bought the lens I tested yesterday, thanks for the input on that thread! Pays to shop local, I got it for $20 under BHPhoto and testing first means a lot to me. This lens is fantastic! Below is my first shots. 3 shot bracketed HDR at 12 mm with a CPL. Many more to follow!

Revisited this bridge now that I can get closer. The first is a standard exposure, the second is a 3 shot HDR. All at 13mm,

Another shot of the dump truck, wide open at 10mm. This is only slightly cropped. I was concerned about distortion and corner sharpness, but it is very minor and controlable in my opinion. Sometimes I get carried away with all the technical reviews and I'm very pleased with the results I'm getting. It takes a bit more "focus" when using an ultra-wide, IF I take the time, I will get good results.

You can learn to use this stuff to effect sir so it becomes an advantage rather than a handicap. It is all about the photographer not the gear.
