Stumblin' and fumblin' with my new Nikon D90. But I am primairly looking for a good lens
to take fireworks photos with. Something around a 24mm 2.8. Brand doesn't matter just quality. Need some suggestions.

The 24mm would be a good lens to go with, IMHO. And why not stick with Nikon lenses? The quality is certainly there.

I assume you'll use the bulb setting to capture the fireworks? That being said, your Tokina , with ISO 100, 200, 50, 800 whatever you choice, will work just fine.

Re: Hey there Everybody

Thanks for the confirmation. I have been away from photography for over 40 years.
It is nice to find out that there are others out there willing to help an ol' timer out.
Thanks again....
